FIELD: petroleum processing catalysts. SUBSTANCE: method consists in using zeolite crystals with specified size, in particular, less than 0.8 mcm. Cation-decationized form of zeolite component with specified proportion of rare-earth elements and ammonium as well as ultrastabilization of zeolite at specified partial water vapor pressure and specified temperature allows high crystallinity of zeolite to be preserved. Matrix components including heat-activated alumina, reprecipitated aluminum hydroxide, kaolin, activated montmorillonite, and amorphous aluminosilicate binder in combination with thus treated fine-crystalline zeolite give rise to higher gasoline yield in crude oil cracking process as compared to known process.
