FIELD: petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: hydrocarbon stock containing original olefins is made to contact with crystalline alumosilicate catalyst comprising at least one zeolite selected from zeolite having structure of ferrerite hydrogen form, ZSM- 35, Fu-9, Nu-23 or isotypical variants thereof with silicon oxide to aluminium oxide molar ratio of 42-300 with binder, binder to zeolite molar ratio being from 1:9.5 to 9:1. Isomerization conditions include temperature of 340-600 C and volume-weight stock rate ranging from 1 to 50 h-1 to attain selectivity with respect to methyl-branched isoolefin of higher than 70 wt.%.
