FIELD: polymers disposal. SUBSTANCE: pure fluorinated monomers are obtained with high yield by pyrolysis of fluorinated polymers, which is performed by feeding finely crumbled polymer with steam into fluidized-bed reactor. Material of fluidized bed is inert granulated material, whereas steam is used as fluidizing gas. Temperature of pyrolysis ranges from 500 to 900 C. For pyrolysis, tetrafluoroethylene is largely used.
