GAUGE BOX Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: test and calibration of working measurement means. SUBSTANCE: gauge box presents metal body of cylindrical shape with bottom and cover closing its upper part. Cover has hole to pour liquid through distributing cock of fuel distributing column with pipe union inside and tube put on it. Filling liquid is delivered through tube to bottom of gauge box to ensure fueling with decreased foaming by pressing out from below. Body has holders for its hanging and anchoring on vertical surface. Inspection holes are manufactured from plexiglass plates with scale divisions marked on them to show volume of filled liquid. They are placed in diametrical opposition one to another and are fixed in side walls of cylindrical body by means of rubber gaskets and screws and extend from top to bottom ensuring clear view of internal content of gauge box. Threaded pins on which adjustment nuts are put are located inside gauge box in center of bottom and on one of side walls of metal body. Side wall of body has hole beneath where discharge branch pipe with cock and spring-loaded handle is cut in. Pipe union having proper thread for connection of fuel distributing hose protrudes from it. Protruding edge-support arranged over periphery underneath of metal gauge box is meant for its mounting on horizontal surface and for prevention of damage.
