FIELD: mechanical engineering; measuring facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for checking fuel filling stations. Proposed liquid gauging tank is made in form of vessel with bottom, wall, branch pipe with intake hole secured on wall, narrowed section formed by wall and provided with transparent part, and mounting screws. Clearance is made between branch pipe and wall of narrowed section. Branch pipe passes through narrowed section. Lower part of branch pipe is connected with bottom to provide flowing out of liquid from branch pipe into vessel space. Branch pipe, bottom and wall are made for changing position of bottom and wall relative to each other. Ring groove is made on branch pipe in place of connection to wall into which screws get, being secured for radial displacement on wall of narrowed section. Thread made on lower end of branch pipe gets into threaded hole of bushing in which through holes are made. Bushing is secured by its lower part to vessel bottom. Branch pipe or its part and if necessary, bushing are made of material with linear expansion coefficient exceeding that of material from which wall or its part is made. Ring groove is made in upper part of branch pipe intake hole, and sealing ring is installed into ring groove to seal pipeline fitted in intake hole along which liquid passes into gauging tank.
EFFECT: simplified foam suppressing and process of measuring.
