SUBSTANCE: characteristic feature of invention lies in sequential irradiation of monitored section of water area of ocean with two acoustic pulses, in reception of pulses scattered by object and distorted by medium at remote point, in isolation of time sequence of pulses corresponding to various ways of their propagation in medium and in determination of difference between two sequentially received signals by which moving object is detected.
