IMPLANTED HOLLOW PROSTHESIS AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2128024 C1

FIELD: medicine; intravascular surgery; surgery of extrasectory organ ducts; surgical oncology; gastroenterology; urology; gynecology; neurosurgery; pulmonary. SUBSTANCE: creation of construction of hollow of prosthesis or hollow prosthesis or component part of internal organ prosthesis of living organism substituting the structure with corresponding function is obtained due to the fact prosthesis body consisting of at least one layer is made of material which structure is characterized by two bound interpenetrating matrices, namely, by polymer matrix in the form of assemblies coupled by fibrilis and matrix empty space which elements are set up in three-dimensional net. Number of assemblies, fibrils and elements of empty space in volume unit is not constant, primarily in the form of tape wound on core forming the prosthesis which body, form, size and configuration correspond to organ or its part being substituted. Method of prosthesis manufacture includes mixing of powder-like source material with binder to produce paste, paste molding and extrusions as a result of which shaped half-finished article is obtained. Then binder is removed, shaped half-finished article is stretched in order to get required porosity of body forming material. Shaped half-finishing article is reformed into layer of material. Single- or double-axis stretching of material layer is performed up to formation of prosthesis body to obtain structure characterized by two interpenetrating matrices. Formation of body consisting of at least one layer is performed by cutting of preliminarily stretched layer of material into tapes, tape winding on prosthesis body forming core and subsequent thermal treatment. EFFECT: enlarged production capabilities, enhanced efficiency. 29 cl, 11 dwg
