DEVICE FOR ELIMINATION OF HARMFUL OF FLUE GAS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: cleaning of smoke-air mixture of effluent gases in smoking of various products, mainly, meat, poultry, fish and cheese. SUBSTANCE: device has electrostatic precipitator and ozonizer which are installed inside straight part of pipeline. Ozonizer is made of collector plate whose one surface carries pointed electrodes and of perforated electrode plate. Located in each hole coaxially in spaced relation to hole walls are points of respective pointed electrodes. Collector plate surface free from pointed electrodes faces outlet of electrostatic precipitator. Distance between collector plate surface free of pointed electrodes and edge of precipitation electrode on outlet of electrostatic precipitator is selected to satisfy condition l/d_r< L/d_n< 1.4, where l is value of working gap between corona-forming electrodes and precipitation electrodes of electrostatic precipitator; d_n is hydraulic diameter of straight part of pipeline equalling 4S/P, where S is cross-section area of straight part of pipeline, and P is straight part perimeter.
