FIELD: peptide synthesis. SUBSTANCE: method consists in using membrane nanofiltration of aqueous process streams containing also dissolved salt by filtering each of the process streams or combination of two or several such streams through composite membrane with specific retention of components above 100 D and monovalent salts. Starting materials contained in retained fraction are recovered by using techniques well known in art or retained fraction is returned into aspartame production process with no supplementary treatment. Simultaneously, organic components are concentrated in process stream(s). Apparatus needed for implementation of invention is also provided. EFFECT: enhanced recovery efficiency.
