FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is improved method of crystallization of alpha-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ether (aspartam) from aqueous solution by conductive cooling, to avoid turbulence in crystallization system where crystallization is carried out when temperature is not lower than 10 C in the presence of at least 0.1 wt % of α ketone, amount of ketone and temperature being selected for each individual ketone so that dohomeneous system of solvent is present as crystallization beings and open skeleton of aspartam crystals is formed.
