SUBSTANCE: invention aims at producing carboxymethylcellulose for application as drilling mud stabilizer, as antiresorbent included in synthetic detergents, as depressor in flotation enrichment of copper-nickel and sylvinite ores, as dextrin glue, etc. Special-type paper waste originated from destruction of bank notes is mercerized with sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, treated with sodium monochloroacetate, ripened on standing, and dried.
