FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: process of flush smelting includes supply of high-frequency current to high-frequency induction coil wound around crucible for induction heating of material placed in crucible, rise of prepared molten metal with prevention of its contact with internal surface of walls of crucible with keeping lower part of material in solid state, overheating of molten metal. Power P, kW, supplied from high-frequency supply source, inner radius R, mm, of bottom part of crucible and overheating degree D of molten metal satisfy equation P/(R2= ΔT•(0,0008÷0,002) (0.0008-0.02). According to process of flush smelting and casting of molten metal prepared in correspondence with process described above metal is cast into mould with usage of tube so hanged above crucible that lower end of tube can be dipped into molten metal to certain depth, for instance , 5 mm from lower end of tube to internal bottom crucible. With smelting height of molten metal H, mm, is maintained depending on inner diameter D, mm, of crucible with adherence to following condition: H/D>0.5. Degree of overheating of molten metal from 20 C to 300 C can be kept as well as formation of clearance between 3 to 10 mm between external surface of molten metal over half of its height and internal surface of walls of crucible. EFFECT: simplified labor conditions, increased casting efficiency and quality of cast product. 9 cl, 7 dwg
