FIELD: oil production, casing and drill pipe manufacture and other branches of industry, namely performing repairing operations concerning threading pipes in well mouth. SUBSTANCE: Apparatus for threading pipes includes supporting cylinder, table, rotator, cutter holder, follower and supporting flange. Follower is in the form of drum with inner cone surface serving as guide. Thread pitch of supporting cylinder is equal to pitch of thread to be made on pipe. Rotator and table are movably joined one with another by means of dovetail joint. Supporting cylinder is provided with cone turning corresponding to cone bead of supporting flange. Width of cutting edge of cutter exceeds pitch value of thread to be cut. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities due to cutting cone threads on pipes for oil wells. 3 dwg
