FIELD: transport engineering; railway transport. SUBSTANCE: locomotive traction drive has traction motor resting through flexible supports onto hollow nonrotating axle of wheelset and two-way gear train whose gears are press-fitted on tail pieces of traction motor armature shaft. Hubs of flexible gear wheels are rigidly connected with hubs of wheels installed on hollow nonrotating axle of wheelset on taper roller bearings axially secured by nuts. Each wheel of wheelset is mounted on hollow nonrotating axle by means of two double-row taper roller bearings between which radial-thrust sliding bearing is installed. Radial-thrust sliding bearing consists of race fitted onto nonrotating axle of wheelset and two shells arranged in wheel hub. EFFECT: enhanced safety of locomotive in motion. 2 cl, 1 dwg
