FIELD: railway transport; electrical transmissions of diesel locomotives. SUBSTANCE: in method heat engine speed is preset and position of fuel feed metering member of speed governor and engine load corresponding to current value of speed is checked metering member is set in position proportionally to preset speed and this position is compared with measured position, values of their discrepancy is integrated in time and constant field current of synchronous generator is set. Proposed method differs from known one in that generator field current is set limiting for preset speed of heat engine, mismatch between measured and preset positions of metering member is integrated in time with discrete time constants and, basing of result of integration, DC traction motor speed is set and basing on deviation of current speed value from preset value, output voltage setting of controlled rectifier is determined , and phase control of output voltage is carried out. EFFECT: increased traction of diesel locomotive and enhanced economy characteristics of heat engine. 2 dwg
