FIELD: materials handling facilities; detachable connection of container corner plates. SUBSTANCE: connecting member is simple in design and reliable in operation. Operating device for turning locking pin provided with cross stops for connecting the containers has wire rope with two traction bundles. Wire rope is connected in its middle with locking pin. Provision of two traction bundles makes it possible to turn locking pin both clockwise and counterclockwise. thanks to it wrong commands can be cancelled and connecting member can be arranged between connected containers with cross stop lying either from top or from bottom. Connection can be purposefully disconnected, with connecting member remaining on lower containers, or can be lifted together with upper container from lower container. EFFECT: reduced number of manual operations when connecting stacked containers on board the ship. 14 cl, 15 dwg
