FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of preparing alkylbenzenesulfonic acid by sulfonation of alkylbenzene with gaseous sulfuric anhydride in the presence of inert gas. Sulfuric anhydride and some inert gas are introduced into reaction zone of apparatus, and other portion of inert gas is introduced below heat exchange zone of apparatus. EFFECT: simpler and cheaper process and readily controllable and ecologically safe method. 1 dwg
