FIELD: organic chemistry
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processes of sulfonation of linear alkyl benzenes with the formation of linear alkyl benzene sulfonic acid and can be used to obtain raw materials used in the production of synthetic detergents. The method of sulfonation of linear alkylbenzenes includes the use of a sulfonation reactor equipped with reaction tubes, characterized in that linear alkylbenzenes with a hydrocarbon radical C10-C14 with a temperature of 35 to 45°C with an aromatic content with a hydrocarbon radical C2 -C3 in an amount of 2-4% of the mass is fed in the form of a film inside each reaction tube, the stream of gaseous SO3 is diluted with air to a concentration of 4.5 to 5.5 vol.%, and it is fed into each reaction tube, a cooling liquid with a temperature of 30 to 35°C is fed into the annular space of the reactor to remove the heat released during the reaction, the sulphurisation reactor is washed with an increase in the dynamic viscosity of the mixture to 0.545 Pa·s.
EFFECT: increased content of linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid in the product stream and improved performance of the sulfonation reactor.
