FIELD: railway track maintenance technology. SUBSTANCE: material produced according to method is used for maintenance of railway tracks passing through zones of soil erosion and desert-progressing phenomenon. Reception of dispensable reserve of raw mass is effected as oriented on usage of acceptable materials being made as artificial. Saw dust is taken with size of averaged particles within range of 0.10-1.20 mm. Prior to modification of accepted raw mass, it is divided into fractions. Fractioning procedure is continued until separation from raw mass of fine scoured fraction with size of wood-meal particles being within 0.10-0.15 mm and until separation of dedusted wood-grain residue. Modification of raw mass is carried out by fraction after fraction procedure. On completion of modification, realized is creation of base of wood composite material from separated dedusted residue of wood-grain particles. Application of aforesaid method allows for improving ecological cleanliness of yielded covering product. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl, 3 ex
