FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: insulating component is made in the form of boards produced from mineral wool. Semifinished item is used for production of insulating component. Insulating component can be made of glass wool and it contains main part with fibres passing basically in parallel to board plane, and at least one marginal section which is adjacent to main part. Fibres in marginal section are actually perpendicular to board plane. Insulating semifinished item used for production of insulating component has at least one dividing seam passing in main part of board at distance from edge of insulating component and it is located perpendicularly to plane of board. This seam identifies separated marginal section. Distance of dividing seam from edge of insulating component is at least equal to thickness of insulating component. Method for production of insulating component from semifinished item implies following operations: separation of marginal section along dividing seam passing between main part and edge of insulating component, positioning of separated marginal section along isolating component so that fibres of marginal section are perpendicular relative to board plane, fixing of separated marginal section at dividing surface of remaining main part and/or on bearing board. Insulating surface is created from large number of interconnected insulating components of continuous dry floor. Aforesaid embodiment of insulating component allows for creation of efficient structures which prevent sinking of marginal areas under local pressing loads with effective isolation from impact and air noises.
