METHOD OF PREPARING VACCINE AGAINST SALMONELLOSIS IN AGRICULTURE ANIMALS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology, agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves the submerged culturing for 6-8 h at (37 ± 1) C under conditions of decrease of redox potential of medium after sowing, maintenance of partial pressure of oxygen dissolved in cultural fluid and dosed glucose feeding at limitation of salmonella growth by glucose. Obtained culture is concentrated, diluted with protective medium containing sucrose-gelatin and thiourea on potassium-phosphate buffer solution followed by packing into flasks and lyophilic drying. The use of proposed regimen of salmonella culturing and protective medium ensures to decrease vaccine cost, increase accumulation of viable bacteria, improve quality, stability and standardness of biological properties of vaccine.
