FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: polyurethane foam is prepared by reacting mixture of hydroxy-containing polyethers with isocyanate component in the presence of silicon- containing surfactant, subsequently foaming and hardening it in mold. Isocyanate component includes mixture of polyisocyanate with diethylene glycol urethane at 0.4:1 to 0.5:1 weight ratio. This mixture is first maintained at 85-95 C for 20-40 minutes and is then added to mixture of polyethers with silicon-containing surfactant in amount of 90-130 wt parts per 100 wt parts, respectively. Method is simple and based on using low-toxic components. EFFECT: improved service properties of polyurethane foam. 10 ex, 1 tbl
