FIELD: microbiology. SUBSTANCE: method of preparing lichenin involves stages of lichen removal from mechanical impurities, its grinding up to particles size 10-15 mm, swelling and neutralization of lichen acids with solution of Na2CO3. Then plant mass is washed out with water up to neutral reaction and ground up to particles size 3-5 mm. Then lichenin is extracted, filtered, purified and dried by spraying or sublimation. Method ensures to improve strength of lichenin jelly. EFFECT: accelerated process, improved quality of jelly. 2 cl, 4 tbl, 2 ex
