FIELD: graphite coating of carbon members. SUBSTANCE: method involves using set of stationary spaced dielectric fire-proof ribbed resting members which are located on dielectric stationary platform. Every resting member has pair of adjacent U-shaped holes which are positioned side by side, have open top and are spaced from main platform. They are also spaced from one another by means of piece of fire- proof ribbed member strut which is designed as whole. Multiple resting members are located in parallel, so that U-shaped holes match. In addition furnace has multiple insulated U-shaped solid metal sections with open top which external, internal and bottom surfaces are spaced from main platform which is located between adjacent resting members. Ends of metal sections are located in U- shaped holes of resting members. Adjacent metal sections are spaced by vertical air duct which is formed by pieces of resting members, piece of main platform and side surfaces of metal sections. Vertical air duct is open from top and bottom and increased speed shaped as Venturi tube, which bottom hole provides forced air cooling of metal sections of furnace. This results in possibility to decrease cooling time of graphite-coated electrodes down to temperature which allows safe removal of electrodes from furnace.
