FIELD: treatment of air in domestic, industrial and other rooms for therapeutic and sanitation purposes. SUBSTANCE: process consists in generation of supply voltage in the form of sum of constant component of positive and negative polarity and variable component predominantly of sinusoidal form. Structural relative positioning of ionizing electrodes forms distribution of gradients of potential in each point of treated space so that relation of gradient of potential Emain of electrode nearest to this point and sum of gradients of potentials of other ionizing electrodes Eother is chosen within limits 0.01 ≤ (αEother+Emain)/Emain≤ 102, where α is experimental coefficient depending on number of ionizing electrodes within limits 10-3 ≤ α ≤ 103.. Electrode system is built in the form of polyhedron of spheroidal type made up of n ribbed polygons with complete formation of spheroidal surface by them. Transportation system of treated gas atmosphere is manufactured in the form of polyhedron with ionizing electrodes and remote current-conducting surface charged in opposition. EFFECT: reduced disturbances in distribution of intensity of electromagnetic field created by ionizing electrodes and caused by travel of external charged bodies to prevent emergence of undesirable electrochemical reactions in gas atmosphere such as corona discharge. 9 cl, 8 dwg
