FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves setting epidural wire electrode at the level of Th12- L1 vertebrae. Skin plate electrode is placed on the frontal surface of the abdomen. Stimulation is carried out when placing the patient body with half-bent legs on Balkan frames by applying rectangular current pulses having 0.5-1 ms duration and potentiating with frequencies of 30-60 and 100 Hz and 4-20 mA amplitude invoking locomotor movements of legs. The following stimulation treatment is carried out by applying skin electrodes positioned at the same level and having 30-85 mA amplitude with the same locomotor result. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in restoring lost voluntary movements.
