FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves stimulating spinal locomotor generator with vigorous rhythmic arm movements made under released state of legs. Horizontal supine or lateral position of a patient with the legs suspended to Balkan frames or vertical position supported with parachute suspension members is considered to be optimum for locomotor movements to be invoked. A patient achieves spinal locomotor generator activation by doing himself vigorous alternate rhythmic arm movements imitating arm movements in running. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in training unattended spinal walking skill of paralytic patients with following lower extremity locomotor function to be restored.
