FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: anti- icing liquid comprises mixture of glycol, water and thickener. Thickener is polymeric thickener sivollen in alkali and containing hydrophobic groups. Said liquid is rather viscous for adhesion to aerodynamic surfaces of immobile aeroplane, but becomes rather flowing when acted upon by wind shift forces to run down from aerodynamic surfaces at or about take-off speed. Anti-icing aqueous glycol liquids have adequate thinning during shift and are used traditionally for removing ice from equipment.
