FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method relates to detection of outburst-risky sections in coal and potassium seams. According to method, two seismo-receivers are installed on seam at direct vicinity of operation site for recording resonance and phone frequencies and their amplitudes in rock layers. In this case, determined is range of calculated values of resonance frequencies according to thickness of seam layers and velocity of displacing waves in them. After that, determined are frequency and amplitude of longitudinal and lateral waves of single direction and they are compared with resonance frequencies. If received frequency comes into range of calculated values of resonance frequencies, and amplitude of waves is by three and more times exceeds phone frequency value, seam section is considered to be outburst-risky. Application of aforesaid method improves reliability of predicting outburst-risky sections. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
