SUBSTANCE: method consists in interaction of swivel planes of steering gear with incoming flow of water at deflection of position of planes relative to ship's axis; planes are arranged in aft extremity. Additional plane is mounted between fore extremity of ship and center of mass; this plane is extended downward. This plane is secured on shaft is such position that its area is mainly divided into equal parts. EFFECT: increased deflection of ship in one and the same length of her run.
