FIELD: fine organic synthesis, more particularly morpholine borane is used as selective reducing agent in aqueous and organic media as well as water-repellent agent in fine organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: method comprises reacting morpholine with diborane in solvent at reduced temperature and subsequently isolating the final product. Solvent is hydrocarbon solvent having melting temperature of not higher than minus 20 C, and process is conducted at temperatures from minus 5 C to minus 20 C. Hydrocarbon solvent is preferably toluene, and process is conducted at morpholine to hydrocarbon solvent ratio of 1:1.5-4.5 by volume. Method is technologically simple and economically advantageous when put into effect under industrial conditions. EFFECT: simplified technology of preparing morpholine borane by omitting vacuum distillation stage in separating organic solvent from desired product, increased yield (93-98.5 %) and high purity of the desired product and higher content of the main substance. 3 cl, 5 ex
