FIELD: chemical industry, more particularly, preparation of sodium cyanoborohydride. SUBSTANCE: sodium cyanoborohydride is prepared by reacting sodium cyanide in tetrahydrofuran with gaseous diborane at 0 to 20 C. the resulting reaction mixture is maintained, boiled and filtered. Hydrocarbon solvent with boiling temperature of 80 to 130 C is added to filtrate. Mixture is stirred and tetrahydrofuran is distilled off by rectification. Final product is separated by filtration and dried in current of inert gas. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 3 cl, 1 tbl
