FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: method comprises mixing of starch of commercial moisture content of 13-20% with solution of reagents containing 0.04-0.2% of sodium hydroxide; 0.2-2.0 % of borax and 0.1-1.0 % of fruit essence with respect to dry compound of starch to prepare mixture with weight fraction of moisture content of 22.5-25.0% and followed by thermomechanical treatment of mixture by extrusion method at 135-155 C, pressure of 0.8-1.4 MPa for 32-40 s in working chamber. Also described is dry adhesive for wall paper. EFFECT: intensified production, reduced cost price and simplified process for preparing final adhesive solution which does not require cooking and prolonged swelling. 3 cl, 1 tbl
