FIELD: gasoline production. SUBSTANCE: method consists in hydrogenating at least one hydrocarbon charge containing 40-80% of paraffins, 0.5-7% of cyclic hydrocarbons, and 6-45% of aromatics having maximum distillation temperature 70-90 C mixed with one part of C5-C6-fraction. Hydrogenation is followed by isomerization on catalyst containing chloride and at least one VIII group metal applied on carrier consisting of mixture of aluminum ethoxide and gamma-alumina in strictly specified proportions. Common treatment of hydrogenated material and C5-C6-fraction in isomerization zone produces stream almost completely devoid of benzene. EFFECT: enabled direct utilization of product as gasoline additive. 10 cl, 1 dwg, 5 tbl, 5 ex
