FIELD: wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to wood-cutting tools, specifically, to gears for tension of blade of ring saw. Gear includes base, axle, guides and two sliders traveling in them. One slider has point support for saw, second one has two point supports placed at distance of 10-300 mm one from another and equidistant from line passing through first point support and center of axle. Axle has slit 1-5 mm wide to put straight-edge perpendicular to line passing through center of axle and point support on slider. Point supports are fabricated in the form of rolling-contact bearings. EFFECT: increased accuracy in evaluation of tension of saw blade and reduced labor input. 2 cl, 2 dwg
