At least one of squeezing rolls has roll enclosure with perforated surface 6 and axial channel system 7 positioned at inner side of surface 6. Sliding shoe 8 abuts in sealing engagement against end wall of roll 2 for injection of treating medium to mat via channel system 7 in zone of restricted roll sector, where squeezing of mat is performed. Supplying of treating medium through squeezing roll eliminates sliding friction and, as a result, reduces wear of contacting surfaces of mat and squeezing and treating parts of apparatus. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced wear of contacting surfaces of mat and rolls, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 9 cl, 7 dwg
