FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: addition agent is prepared by reaction of long-chain olefin hydroformylation product having average molecular weight of 250-5000 with polyamine of formula I: wherein m is 1-10; R1 is straight or branched alkylene having 2-6 carbon atoms. R1 radicals are different if m is more than 1, R2 and R3 are independently hydrogen, alkyl having 1-6 carbon atoms, or R2 and R3 together with nitrogen to which they are attached form nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring followed by catalytic hydrogenation of the resulting product in the presence of hydrogen and, optionally, ammonia. Reaction of hydroformylation product with polyamine of formula II gives intermediate product, namely azomethine derivative of general formula II: wherein m,R1,R2,R3 are as defined above, and R4 is alkyl residue having average molecular weight of 250- 5000.
