SUBSTANCE: invention discloses use of a reaction product containing a quaternised nitrogen compound or a quaternary nitrogen compound containing a partial fraction obtained from the reaction product by purification, as a fuel additive in amount of 10 to 5,000 ppm by weight, in terms of total amount of fuel, wherein the reaction product is obtained by: a) reacting a quaternized nitrogen compound containing at least one quaternised amine group with a quaternisation apparatus which converts at least one quaternised amino group to a quaternary ammonium group, wherein quaternisation means is complex C1–C4-alkyl ester of an aliphatic, cycloaromatic or cycloaliphatic polycarboxylic acid, and b) re-esterifying or amidating the remaining ester group of the quaternisation product of step a), wherein the re-esterification is carried out using an alcohol selected from a group comprising: saturated or unsaturated, linear, branched or cyclic aliphatic mono- or polyols with 5–28 carbon atoms, with 6–26 carbon atoms, with 7–24 carbon atoms or with 8–24 carbon atoms, and partially esterified polyols with at least one free hydroxyl group, and polyisobutylene alcohols obtained by hydroformylation and reduction polyisobutene with molecular weight, defined by gel-permeation chromatography (tetrahydrofuran as solvent, polystyrene as standard), in range of 150 to 5,000, or re-esterification is carried out by replacing the methyl or ethyl group of the ester functional residue of the quaternisation product of step a) by a hydrocarbyl residue with 5–50 carbon atoms long-chain alcohols, and wherein amidation is carried out using an amine selected from a group comprising: saturated or unsaturated, straight, branched or cyclic aliphatic primary or secondary aliphatic mono- or polyamines with 5–28 carbon atoms, with 6–26 carbon atoms, with 7–24 carbon atoms or with 8–24 carbon atoms and polyisobutylene amines. Also disclosed is a quaternised nitrogen compound, a method for production thereof, an additive concentrate and a fuel composition containing said quaternised nitrogen compound.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction or prevention of formation of deposits in internal combustion engine systems.
