FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, specifically hot repair of lining of converters in process of their operation. SUBSTANCE: there is developed specified mode of frothing and puffing of final slag that ensures effective application of slag skull on lining and acceleration of process of formation of primary slag which contributes o enhanced resistance of lining, raised output of metal, reduced consumption of deoxidizing agents and alloying materials and to increased productivity of converters. In accordance with proposed process of reclamation of lining of converter on final slag left in converter carbon-carrying material and limestone in proportion (0.2-5.0): (0.5-7.0) with total consumption of mixture 2.0-35.0 kg/t are added for its frothing. On lapse of time (τ) min equal to C/1.369, where C is amount of added carbon-carrying material, kg/t, slag is inflated with gas. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
