FIELD: test of tightness of vessel on technical line. SUBSTANCE: vessels are placed into closed testing chamber to test their tightness. Pressure difference is created from internal part of vessel to space between external part of vessel wall and part of wall of testing chamber which leads to bulging of flexible part of vessel wall. Protrusions on wall f testing chamber that support flexible part of vessel wall hinder this. Recesses between protrusions ensure that pressure established in space between external part of vessel wall and wall of testing chamber dissipate around vessel but not in recesses.
