FIELD: physics; test engineering.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to test engineering and is meant for checking air-tightness of packets or containers with at least one flexible part of the walls. The invention is aimed at simplifying checking while retaining its accuracy. This is made possible by that, a loading element is moved towards and until in contact with part of the wall. Movement is stopped and the loading force acting on the container is monitored. A value of loading force, monitored in the initial instant in time, is selected, giving the initial signal of the measured force. That signal is stored in memory and the stored signal is generated. A differential signal, based on the signal corresponding to the initial signal of the measured force and the signal stored in memory is generated. When storing the signal in memory, a value of loading force is selected, monitored in at least one second subsequent time instant, and a second signal of the measured force is obtained. A second differential signal is generated corresponding to the stored signal, second signal of the measured force and first differential signal, as a signal indicating leakage.
EFFECT: simplification of testing while retaining accuracy.
