FIELD: packing industry.
SUBSTANCE: loading element is moved till contact with section of container wall, specified movement is stopped, and shifting force that acts at container is tracked. Value of the shifting force tracked at the first moment of time is selected to produce the first signal of measured force. Value of the shifting force tracked at least in one second further moment of time is selected to produce the second signal of measured force. Difference signal is generated as a signal that indicates availability of leak. Averaged signal of differential signals formed in process of preliminary testing of containers is generated, and averaged signal is confirmed by produced difference signal, if tested container is tight, and differential signal is compared to threshold signal. At the same time threshold signal is regulated depending on averaged confirmed signal. Container with leak is rejected by signal that indicates availability of leak.
EFFECT: simplified performance of test with preservation of its accuracy.
