FIELD: production of furniture from metal tubular members. SUBSTANCE: chair has metal tubular carcass, legs fixed in pairs by cross-pieces, seat support, back mounted on poles and coupled by connecting members. Semicircular back is made from hard wood and has width and shape conformable with that of user's wrist. Back is cantilevered by tenons on poles of back circular support, which are fastened by at least two cross-pieces extending in parallel with back between seat support and back. Projecting back ends are positioned in weight center plane. Side horizontal cross-pieces of legs are formed as concave arcs. Such construction imparts novel artistic expressiveness to seating furniture without loosing strength and rigidity qualities. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, additional comfort and convenience and simplified construction. 3 dwg
