FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable in intensification of oil recovery from formations in development of deposits with use of waterflooding. SUBSTANCE: composition includes cellulose ethers in the form of methyl cellulose or methyloxypropyl cellulose and additionally fresh water and/or mineralized water and ar least one component from group including carbamide, thiourea, ammonium thiocyamate with the following ratio of components, wt.%: methyl cellulose or methyloxypropyl cellulose, 0.25-2.0; at least one component of group including carbamide, 2.0-20.0; thiourea, 0.5-2.0; ammonium thiocyanate, 0.5-2.0; fresh and/or mineralized water, the balance. EFFECT: increased oil recovery from formation with high temperature due to redistribution of filtering flows and formation coverage by waterflooding. 5 cl, 1 tbl
