FIELD: printing industry. SUBSTANCE: method is applicable in production of printing ink containing microencapsulated pigments and dyes. Substance to be encapsulated is mixed with thiourea and emulsifier (nonionic surfactant) in aqueous medium, after which mixture is ultrasonically dispersed for 1 h at acoustic field intensity 20-25 V/sq.cm and frequency 20 ± 1 kHz, while, every other 15 min in the course of ultrasonic treatment, successively added are 2.5-% aqueous solutions of polyethyleneimine, silver nitrate, and solution of melamine-formaldehyde resin in aqueous hydrochloric acid (pH 1.42). Resultant microcapsules 0.1-0.2 mcm in diameter are characterized with narrow size distribution. EFFECT: simplified procedure.
