FIELD: preparation of surfaces of steel articles for gas thermal spraying, descaling of articles, their hard-facing and formation of corrosive protection. SUBSTANCE: shot blasting of surface is performed in several stages with usage of different shots at each stage. After blasting of surface with steel shots it is additionally blasted with chromium steel shots which are imparted with oscillatory motion by means of ultrasonic vibrations with frequency 190.-20.0 kHz and amplitude 55-70 μ. EFFECT: increased strength of adhesion of gas thermal coats to backing. 2 dwg, 3 tbl
