FIELD: precious metal technology. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to electrochemically processing binary platinum group metal alloys such as platinum-rhodium and platinum-iridium. Initial material in the form of briquetted scrap is dissolved in concentrated hydrochloric acid with hydrogen peroxide added, while simultaneously affecting material by alternate current with density 3 to 30 A/cu.dm, which is supplied on briquetted scrap electrodes. Initial concentration of hydrogen peroxide is 1-2 g/l and its consumption 0.03500.07 g/A h. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency.
