FIELD: restoration of working surfaces of parts working under conditions of abrasive wear. SUBSTANCE: process of build-up by lying consumable electrode lying under flux can be used to restore races of links and cleats of shoes of crawler tractors of type D9N and shovels of type EX-400. Layer of flux is deposited on surface to be built up which is insulation material. Then electrode is put on it. Section of surface in zone of location of end of electrode is cleared from flux. Layer of metal additive is deposited on this section and electrode. Later hardening agent and layer of welding flux are poured in sequence on section an electrode. Arc is initiated and build-up is implemented. Process reduces energy consumption by 10-15% and enhances hardness of built-up metal. EFFECT: reduced energy consumption and enhanced hardness of built-up metal. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
