FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is used in electrochemical treatment of metal combined with machining. Tool consisting of several metal discs connected to negative pole of commercial current supply is rotated and moved towards workpiece connected to positive pole of commercial current supply. Workpiece is secured rigidly on flexible mandrel and rotated. Electrolyte-coolant is supplied to zone of treatment. Mandrel is made of dielectric with recesses and ribs on external surface. Tool is used has abrasive grains secured on periphery of discs by metal binding. Rings with holes for delivery of electrolyte to treatment zone are positioned between discs.
