FIELD: thermal treatment equipment used for spheroidizing and recrystallization induction annealing of gaged coiled steel wire . SUBSTANCE: apparatus is adapted for induction annealing of gaged steel during rewinding from coil to coil and is provided with unwinding drum, drawing mechanism, heating unit and five-zone thermal chamber with winding drums, heaters, and drawing mechanism. Drawing mechanism has device for varying diameters of gaged steel to be treated. Device for varying rotational speed of receiving drum is adapted for providing dense laying of wire coils and has double-staged chain transmission, with transmission ratio at first transmission stage being automatically changed at invariable metal feeding rate, deforming unit positioned between unwinding drum and drawing mechanism and adapted for cold hardening of metal prior to heating, and protective heat-insulating screen disposed between heating unit and wire coil forming mechanism. Thermal chamber is further provided with fans. Each of five thermal zones has its individual winding drum rotating drive for providing uniform temperature field within thermal chamber. Such equipment may be used in technological processes requiring intensified heating and slowed down cooling at predetermined rate. EFFECT: increased efficiency, enhanced reliability in operation, improved quality by homogeneous structure and properties of thermally treated coiled steel. 5 dwg
